Certified Hazmat & OSHA Training
DOT HAZMAT CERTIFICATION COURSE
IThis comprehensive course is designed for DOT hazardous material (hazmat) drivers and fulfills the training mandates outlined in 49 CFR Part 172, Subpart H. You'll receive essential training covering:
General Awareness/Familiarization: Understand the Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR) and identify hazardous materials using the Hazardous Materials Table.
Function-Specific Training: Learn proper loading/unloading, securement, placarding, shipping paper review, and package inspection procedures.
Safety Training: Cover emergency response using the Emergency Response Guidebook (ERG), proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and accident avoidance.
Security Awareness Training: Recognize and respond to security risks related to hazmat transportation.
(Optional, if applicable) In-Depth Security Training: For those requiring a hazmat security plan, company-specific security objectives and procedures will be covered.
This training is crucial for new hazmat drivers (initial training within 90 days) and experienced drivers (recurrent training every three years) to ensure compliance and safety. Training includes testing to verify understanding. Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a certification acknowledging your compliance with DOT HAZMAT training requirements.
A 2-hour certification course will be offered the last week of every month for $150 per applicant, with a discount available for 3 or more applicants. Individual and immediate certifications are also available upon request.
HAZWOPER CERTIFICATION Course
While DOT regulations focus on the safe transportation of hazardous materials, OSHA's Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) standard (29 CFR 1910.120) is critical for worker safety, particularly when drivers are involved in emergency response to hazardous material spills or releases.
If a DOT driver becomes actively involved in such an emergency, HAZWOPER training is required. We offer the 8-hour First Responder certification necessary for this role. To maintain your certification, an annual 2-4 hour refresher training is also required.
Beyond emergency response, other OSHA standards, such as those for Powered Industrial Trucks (forklifts), Respiratory Protection, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), may also apply to drivers' tasks outside of direct transport. We ensure our training encompasses these vital safety aspects.
Upon successful completion of our HAZWOPER training, you will receive your certification, demonstrating your compliance with OSHA standards for hazardous waste operations and emergency response.
We offer a 2-hour certification course the last week of every month for $150 per applicant. Discounts are available for groups of 3 or more applicants. Individual and immediate certifications are also available upon request.
